My recent stay at Paraa Safari Lodge for Easter was a mixed experience. The location on the banks of the River Nile in Murchison's Falls National Park is truly stunning, offering fantastic views and a perfect base for safaris and boat rides on the river. The room we stayed in was spacious, clean, and had a lovely balcony overlooking the river.Although the staff were friendly and welcoming, there were some issues with their level of expertise. The hotel itself is charming with a touch of old-world character, but it is starting to show signs of wear and tear in certain areas. The welcome was warm, with clean towels and refreshing juice upon arrival, and the Easter celebrations with a live band added a festive touch.The highlight of our stay was the boat trip to the falls, which was not only awe-inspiring but also provided great opportunities for wildlife viewing. The dessert buffet was a delightful treat, offering a variety of indulgent options. However, the overall dining experience was average. The pool area was a relaxing spot to unwind in between safari activities.While Paraa Safari Lodge boasts a prime location and picturesque views, there is room for improvement in terms of service quality and maintenance. Nonetheless, for those seeking a nature-filled and adventure-packed getaway in the heart of Murchison's Falls National Park, Paraa Safari Lodge is a decent choice.
